A NOTE FROM DEVIN
Over the years, a true love of gathering and hosting my friends and family has grown. Combined with a genuine curiosity to create in many shapes and forms, along with my determination to practice my craft until I have it absolutely mastered (often to the point of tears, just ask my husband about my French macaron endeavor) - all of this has helped make me the creative I am today. But why floral design? Specifically, why event floristry?
Some of the best and most memorable times of my life have happened around a table. One of the most meaningful things we can do is create an atmosphere where our loved ones are able to connect and engage with each other. During those moments of togetherness, when we encounter natural beauty, it brings out the natural beauty in us.
I tend to see life “through rose-colored lenses” as they say. I like to look on the bright side. I thought it was a part of my innate naïveté, foolishly ignoring the negative side of what life hands us. But now I see it for what it is: a gift.
Most days, I can't believe this is my job. I can't believe my life is about being creative for others. From the bottom of my heart, my hope is to be able to help you bring the gift of awe and beauty to your guests on a day that will always and forever remind you of the good things in life.
When I'm not flowering, I take a great interest in wine tasting with friends, chasing my three kids, and dreaming up big ideas with my husband, Jake.
